Braziliarty Pop Up in Soho

40 Beak Street is an important building with a strong history. Built in 1910 it was a police section station, then turned into offices and it has got planning permission for demolition since 2008. In 2013, a group of activists, squatters and protesters took over the building to organize the Anti-G8 protest. The police came and there was a riot and an attempt of suicide. Almost 67 people were arrested. Since then many squatters tried to stay however toilets were taken away making conditions impossible for occupying the building. The building will be demolished in January 2016. Let’s enjoy it whilst is there.
